Technology
I am one of those people who love technology.
I understand at my age of 50 there can be quite a split in opinions when it comes to technology. Some love it, some hate it, some use it just a little, some don't understand it at all.
And the list goes on.
But where do you fit in?
As a graphic designer, it is something that makes my industry so much easier than. The days when we had to design everything on paper before it could go to print are long gone.
Really we had no choice, doing it the old way is just not possible any more.
What about people who are in industries that don't have to move into understanding technology super highway to keep getting work. Those in construction, like brick layers or carpenters can take it or leave it.
The thing is once you get on board, you find it does move very fast.
Do you use apps on your smart phone?
Do you read magazines from Newsstand?
Do you have a Kindle for reading your books.
For me I can answer yes for two of the questions, when it comes to the third question I must say I don't own a kindle but that is where my book will come out when it is completed.
It can seem so overwhelming the rapid rate of technology.
For me I find there are so many great ideas and applications that I would love to get involved in.
That is impossible!
I must choose what I feel will suit me the best and simply ignore the rest.
Sure I can use most of the things that keep coming out, but I can't be involved in developing programs and apps for more that about three different areas.
With the way technology is moving I think it is very important to be disciplined in what not to get involved in so you can be free to focus on what you want to do.
Don't get overwhelmed!
Embrace what you love and forget the rest.
Enjoy your Life
