I hear time and time again people saying my girlfriend or my wife completes me.
I would like to challenge that idea.
There is no one except God that completes you. You are complete just as you are, I am not saying that a good partner does not complement you. A good partner does make your life very rich and fulfilled.
Lets leave the whole partner thing alone for now as I really want to talk about you.
You are the only person who can make a real difference in your life. It is up to you to choose to love yourself. I lot of people find this a difficult subject to talk about, they think that loving themselves is in some way being full of pride. There is a huge difference between love and pride. If you can not truly love yourself then you can not really love someone else.
It is all about YOU.
Not in a selfish way but you are the only person you can change. It is not up to you to change anyone else. You can lead them and advise them but ultimately it is up to them to make the change.
Spend some time alone with nothing to distract you. You can do this anywhere that gives you peace.
It could be sitting in your favorite coffee shop, even thought there are people there, you can still sit alone quietly contemplating ways to love yourself. It could be on a ski slope with the adrenalin pumping. You decide, it is only you who will know the best place to do this.
Just find love for yourself and there you will also find completeness.
