A night of celebration

This evening I had a wonderful night celebrating my brother in laws birthday. Good food, good wine and a great atmosphere of family sharing life's adventures.

I know families vary so much.

You may have a great family or you may have a terrible family.
Your family will fit somewhere between these two extremes.

 Families come in all shapes and sizes. What ever your family is like, it is ultimately where you came from.
Do what you can to make relationships with family members work. I know some are difficult, some even impossible but if you have done all you can, you can sleep well knowing you have done that which is right.

I personally have gone through divorce.
I know the pain of this.
I know the guilt.
I was the one who left so I was the one responsible for breaking up a family.
Not an easy thing to live with, but we all must carry on making the most of our lives realizing what a wonderful gift life really is.

Yes there is pain but also great joy.
