My life is great.
Despite living in a country where things are by no means as good as they used to be, I am still one of the richest people in the world.
You may ask well how rich are you Dave?
I would have to answer very rich and I am sure many of you could answer in the same way.
You see if you own a car you are one of the 5% of people in the world in this position. If you get to eat a meal every day Like I do, then I would consider you rich. If your children have had access to a good education again you are rich. Do you have running water in your house, again rich.
Most of the rich people in the world don't actually know they are rich, if fact most people think of being rich as earning more than what they earn now regardless of their current income.
If I earned $70000 per year then I would be rich, or if I earned $250000 per year then I would be rich. It all depends where they are now compared to where they want to be, but as a general rule of thumb it is about double of what they have now.
You are already rich beyond what most people in the world dream.
Why don't we tend to realise this fact. It is a fact, all the proof is there.
I would think the main reason we are unable to realise this is because of debt. I understand this as I am in a lot of debt as I speak. It is difficult to reduce our of debt which can make us all feel poor.
I like many others have a long way to go to be debt free but that does not change the fact that I am in the top 5% of the richest people in the world.
It is in realising that we are very wealthy that we can be content with what we have. I have travelled to South East Asia and seen how the people live there. Compared to me they are very poor, yet somehow much more content than most Western people I know.
Spend some time understanding just how blessed you are right where you are.
